• What is the difference between CRAFT Training Co. - Alcohol RVT and ServSafe Alcohol and/or TIPs?

The State of Colorado Liquor Enforcement Division (LED) no longer recognizes any of the national Alcohol Certification Programs, such as ServSafe Alcohol and/or TIPs. The LED only approves individual Trainers and their unique program content.  An approved RVT is only necessary if you need to meet the State's guidelines for Training.

• How do I get a replacement CRAFT Training Co. - Alcohol RVT Certification Card?

CTC provided you with your CTC Certification Card in a digital format the day of your class, which was immediate upon your completion of the exam.  You also would have been given detailed instructions on how to download it at that time to provide to your employer.  Because if was provided up front, after 90 days, there is a $15 per card Search & Replacement Fee, no exceptions.  Just email CTC below with your request and you will be sent a payment link and then your replacement card will be sent upon payment.

• How long are the Certifications good for?

ServSafe Food Safety Manager is good for 5 years.  Recertification may be done by an Exam Only "Test-Out" Option or by retaking Class + Exam Option.

 

CRAFT Training Co. - Alcohol RVT is good for 2 years.  Recertification may be done by an Exam Only "Test-Out" Option or by retaking Class + Exam Option.

 

ServSafe Alcohol are good for 3 years.  Recertification may be done only by the Class + Exam Option.

• Can I just take the exam to Certify or Re-Certify?

YES, for ServSafe Food Safety Manager. You can always take just the exam in a Proctored Exam Session OR attend any scheduled class at 2:30pm to take the exam.

 

YES, for CRAFT Training Co. - Alcohol RVT. Look for an Exam Only Session OR you may attend any listed CRAFT Training Co. - Alcohol RVT class promptly at the 2.5 hours after the listed start time to just take a Recertification Exam.

• Do I need to pay for the Manual?

Only if you are taking the Class+Exam option for ServSafe Food Safety Manager. If you do not wish to purchase the book, there is no need to attend a class and you can just attend a Proctored Exam Session.  Class Schedule here.

Both CRAFT Training Co. - Alcohol RVT and ServSafe Alcohol do not require a manual.

• Are the Courses available in Spanish?

All ServSafe Food Safety Manager courses with this instructor are presented in English.  Spanish books AND Exams are available.  Participants can participate in-class if they can follow the oral presentation in English while using the Spanish materials, then test out in the Spanish Exam.  They may also either Self-Study OR take the Online Course Portion, then attend any Proctored Exam with this Instructor/Proctor to test out in the Spanish Exam.  All of these options MUST be arranged before the class with the Instructor/Proctor upon your registration.

CRAFT Training Co. - Alcohol RVT is primarily presented in English but does have a Spanish Exam Option.  A Spanish ONLY Presentation is available upon request.

• How do I become a Trainer?

CTC is highly selective of whom they certify as a CTC Trainer. Your industry and training experience is considered first.  Ideal candidates are Restaurant Groups, Hotel Management Groups, and smaller mountain communities who train internally within their company and/or community.  Find out more about becoming a CTC Trainer here.
